This is a multi-element trip starting off with one of the Appalachian Trail’s sweetest sections – the Roan mountain high country to the Nolichucky river. The trip will finish up with a service project.
Younger Group & Girls TAASC 5-day Trip
New River Paddling Adventure & Service project
Undoubtedly one of our favorite river expeditions. This section of the New River should be on your bucket list – beautiful scenery, amazing state park camping, great water quality and best of all it’s in a cool climate!
This trip is the younger group combined with the Girls program.
Ages 8-14 yrs
Dates: August 7th – 11th, 2017
We load up our canoes and paddle. It’s one of the best ways to travel. We’ll be covering around 50 miles including sections of class 2 rapids. This is a great expedition for all ages and younger kids can be successful without the stress of carrying a heavy load. Lots of fun, swimming, playing and also challenging ourselves. We’ll do a service project with the Allegheny state park on our way.
